Sterling High School

Students above are engaging in one of the many team building activities during Warrior Way, the human knot!  All freshman students are enrolled in an 8th hour course for the first quarter of the school year, this course is entitled Warrior Way.  Students build a community within their classroom while learning all about high school life at SHS.  During this course students are taught technology tips such as how to use skyward learning center, accessing/utilizing their email account, how to create pdf documents, as well as how to stay organized on their laptop with folders.  Students also dig deeper into how Sterling High School is different than middle school.  Students discuss grade point average, clubs/activities, credits needed to graduate, as well as just touring the school.  Along with these skills, students are focusing on executive functioning skills such as organization, homework habits, and goals.  We are hoping that Warrior Way helps freshman to begin their high school career on the right path.
