We want to take a moment and honor Mrs. Melissa Vogel on her retirement. She has been a valuable member of the Sterling Public School's family and she will be missed! Below is a message from Mrs. Vogel!
"I started with SPS 20 years ago as a substitute teacher. During my 3rd year subbing Ron Rick came to me and asked if I would consider being a one-on-one paraprofessional with a student and the rest is now history. I have been a paraprofessional for 17 years. Each day is different and exciting. I love being around our students and making a difference in their lives! I have used my talents to help create a friendly environment for our students, including the Jefferson school gardens and decorating the halls and bulletin boards . I was also on the team that put together the funding for our Fitness Trail which has continued to be a great addition to Jefferson School. I will not be totally out of the picture as I will continue to sub at Jefferson in the coming years and help with the gardens. It has truly been a pleasure to work at Jefferson."
